M.R.H. Consultants Inc. is me — and that's the point.

When you engage M.R.H. Consultants Inc., you get the senior engineer, not a pitch deck and a hand-off to juniors. I architect the solution and I write the code — from infrastructure-as-code and network security design through to full-stack application development and performance tuning.

That combination is rare. It means one person who understands how the cloud, the security posture, and the application actually fit together — so the design is realistic, the build is clean, and nothing gets lost in translation between architecture and implementation.

And when a project is bigger than one person, I scale up without handing you off — drawing on a trusted network of independent senior consultants I've collaborated with for years. You get a team's depth and capacity when you need it, with me still accountable for the work.

Where I work: I'm based in Manotick, just outside Ottawa, and work on-site with clients across the National Capital Region — Ottawa and Gatineau — and remotely for clients anywhere in Canada, the United States, and internationally. Before settling in Ottawa I lived and worked on-site abroad — with the New Zealand Police in Wellington, and with CSX Transportation and Communications Data Group in the U.S. — so cross-border engagements are familiar ground.

Three decades in, I still do this because I like the hard problems: modernizing legacy systems, securing sensitive government data, and building software that people can trust for the long haul.
